Rattanak!

Last year, we met a beautiful family. Their son, Rattanak needed his heart repaired and that surgery was not possible in Cambodia. With a lot of prayer and connections that Pat's dad had, we were able to bring him to the states to get his surgery. If you look at older blog post from last year, you can read more about it.

We got to see Rattanak and his family yesterday! Wow! He looked so different. Last year, when we met him, he was lethargic, pale, and tiny. This year, he is so big, so happy, and so energetic. It is amazing what a repaired heart will do. Trent asked if we could adopt him! He said he wants him as his brother!

Today we were able to walk over to their house to give them some gifts. They live in a 9X9 room. There is enough room for two wooden beds (not beds but platforms) and a small kitchen area. There is a space of about 4 ft. x 2 ft. for standing room. Their whole home is smaller than Taliah's bedroom. But, it was clean, they were proud of it, and for them, it is home! I love the perspective we gain by being here.

Here are some pictures....

  1. Glory to G-D in the highest and praises to His holy Name. He is worthy of all glory and honor and power and dominion. Blessed be the beautiful feet who carry His word and His healing to the outermost corners of the earth. Blessed be the beautiful hands who minister love and touch and healing to His beloved people. Blessed be the hearts that serve without care for their own well being. Blessed be the minds that stay steadfast on Him as they pour themselves out an anointed offering. Health, wisdom, discernment, guidance, protection and great favor be to you.
